Madhaya Pradesh is the second largest Indian State in size. Nicknamed the “heart of India” due to its geographical location it occupies pivotal position in the Country. The state is bordered on the west by Gujarat, on the northwest by Rajasthan, on the northeast by Uttar Pradesh, on the east by Chhattisgarh, and on the south by Maharashtra. According to the 2011 census, Madhya Pradesh had a literacy rate of 70.60%. Madhya Pradesh has the largest reserves of diamond and copper in India.
