Snake bite to a 5-year-old girl: Teacher ignored and the girl died


    A 10-year-old girl died of snakebite inside a school in Wayanad, Kerela. Other students studying in the school told that after the snake bites to the girl, she immediately informed the teacher but he did not listen to her. The child’s body turned blue in a short time. The girl was admitted to the hospital, where she died.  On the death of the girl, Congress leader Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Kerela Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, requesting for proper compensation to the girl’s family.

    According to the reports, S. Sherin was studying in the fifth grade at a local school in Wayanad, Kerela. At 3’o clock on Thursday afternoon, a snake came in from a hole in the class floor and bitten the student. The friend of the student told after the snake bite, Sherin immediately reached the teacher and she informed them about the snake bite. The teacher said that she must have got a stone or something in her leg.

    The students said that they had requested the teacher that S. Sherin should be admitted to the hospital immediately but their point was ignored. Sherin’s body turned blue on seeing it. Sherin’s father immediately informed after this. He admitted her daughter to the hospital but she died there. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the teacher has been suspended and orders have also been given to investigate the whole matter. Kerela Education Minister Prof. C. Rabindranath has given instructions for the strict action in the case.

    Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Kerela Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan after the case of the girl’s death due to snake bite. Rahul Gandhi has requested CM to provide proper compensation to the girl’s family members. With this, he CM Vijayan has tried to show the attention to the poor condition of the school. He wrote in the letter that the poor condition of Sultan Bathery’s oldest public high secondary school needs immediate improvement.
