Who doesn’t love winter? Winter is probably everyone’s favourite time of the year. From bringing out our comfy sweaters to swiping on those gorgeous plum lips but we are only afraid of dry, parched and patchy skin that often sneaks in along with the cool weather. Here is some winter skincare routine that needs to be replaced with the summer ones if you want happy skin this season:
- Body Lotion- Winter skincare isn’t just about the face, it extends to the rest of your body too. In winters you may feel that your skin all over your body feels tighter and itchier than usual. Just like your face moisturizer, switch to a creamier and richer formula during winters look for a product that not just moisturises but also repairs skin damage. You can apply body lotion as soon as you step out of the shower, while your skin is still damp, to lock moisture.
- Cream Face Wash- Generally most gel face washes can leave your skin feeling extremely dry and patchy in the winter months. So switch your gel-based face wash for a cream-based face wash. A cream-based face wash cam help balance your skin, so it doesn’t overcompensate by producing more oil.
- Scrub- Regularly exfoliating your skin is extremely important even in winters as this helps slough away dead skin cells and make your skin glow. Use chemical exfoliators to gently dissolve the top layer of dead skin and wash it away.
- Toner- It is very important in winter to have toner in your skincare routine but in winters it is a change of formula. As the air gets drier, limit the usage of toner to the bare minimum. Instead, switch to using a face mist after cleansing your face as usual. A face mist will not rejuvenate your skin, but also provide total hydration.
Try to use these products in your skincare routine to have smooth and glowing skin in winters.
