Students have taken to the street in protest against the government’s implemented education reforms in China. Police used force on students protesting against the decision to downgrade educational institutions in Jingsu province, injuring several students. According to the information received, students of five educational institutions of China have announced to campaign together against the government’s decision. They are protesting against the downgrading of their educational institutions.

They are saying that this will affect their future and their years of studies will be wasted. Several videos of these students using force and arresting them have surfaced on the online media. According to an order issued by the National Education Bureau in May, several higher technical colleges have been amalgamated into vocational schools at the undergraduate level. Due to this the old recognition of those colleges has been lost and the importance of their degree has also been reduced.
