Students will get higher level education through new education policy in their own country
Mohali India approaches to move forward with the idea of world fraternity. The upliftment of the entire humanity is wanted and India’s new education policy will re-establish the glory of Indian education on a global scale with massive changes. The inspiration, ideas and teachings of Guru Nanak are working for the whole world. These words were said by the Union Minister of Education, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank during the international conference organized by Chandigarh University. He participated in this program as the principal.
The program was attended by Professor Mark E. Smith, President and Vice Chancellor of the University of Southampton UK and Dr. Deep Saini, President and Vice Chancellor of Dalhousie University, Canada, Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu of Chandigarh University. Whereas on this virtual international conference, eminent presidents, representatives and academicians from 31 universities of 20 countries participated. At the same time, about one crore people joined this online program. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has envisaged a ‘Local for Vocal’ voice to build a ‘self-reliant’ India. To take Indian education to global standards, internationalization of higher education is of utmost importance. He said that Bharat Charak, It has been the
birthplace of world-renowned gurus like Aryabhata and Nagarjuna. Now the knowledge of these scholars will be propagated in the whole world through research and research.
He said that India will become a superpower of knowledge globally through universities. Every year about 8 lakh Indian students are going to study abroad and about one and a half lakh crores of India are being spent to get education abroad. Dr. Nishank said that through the new education policy, Indian children will be provided quality high-level education in the country itself and the new education policy will form the basis of the best India. Finally, Chancellor of the host university, Satnam Singh Sandhu said that we hope that this program will help India as a role model to create a global perspective immersed in local values and traditional knowledge.
A book
dedicated to Shri Guru Nanak Dev was released on the occasion, dedicated to Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, written by Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Research and research will be done on the topics written in this book in the Guru Nanak Chair set up at Chandigarh University.
