National Level Webinar on New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 brought by Government of India was organized at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur. Dr. Raivani, Director, NIT Raipur, spoke on the three main points of education policy.

He said that it has flexibility, which was given not only to the institutes but also to the students. Under this, there is a provision of multiple exit points with choice based credit, interdisciplinary courses. Another aspect of this is the student-centered approach, with an emphasis on conceptual learning.

The third aspect is towards bringing internationalization in education. He said that today there is a dire need to bring internationalization in education. Only then can India compete with the developed countries of the world. Internationalization will benefit the country, but will also provide employment to students. At the same, Professor of NIT Warangal, Dr. KV Jayakumar discussed the syllabus changes due to NEP and the ability to provide employment.
