After the re-closure of schools and colleges in Himachal Pradesh and Haryana, there is now a demand for parents to close schools in the city. It is noteworthy that the second wave of corona epidemic seems to be as terrible as the first, due to which the Himachal Pradesh government has closed schools and colleges till 31 December and the Haryana government till 30 November. 

On Monday, on behalf of the Chandigarh Parents Association, a letter has been raised to the Education Department demanding to close the schools soon. Giving information, Union President Nitin Goyal said that the private school is not open yet,whereas in the government schools, children are coming to the forefront. Teachers are also leaving school one day in view of security. In such a situation, the department should close the schools again so that everyone can be safe.

Teacher union also demands closure of school

The demand for closure of schools has also been raised by the UT Cadre Education Union of the Education Department. In the meeting held on November 22, the department has demanded that schools should be closed as soon as possible so that the life of the teacher student can also be protected.

30 percent of students arrived to attend class on Monday

The Teacher Union and Parents Association are demanding the closure of schools, while on the other hand, the number of students of class X and XII has started increasing after the CBSE announced the exam. On Monday also 25 to 35% of the students in the city schools had reached the class to attend.
