On behalf of the State Information Commission, three officers of the Technical Education Department have been fined Rs 75 thousand. Jagadhri resident RTI activist S. Garg has issued a press release in this matter.

In it, he alleged that a woman professor in a department of a university in Hisar got the job by putting up fake documents. It is alleged that the vice-chancellor of the university concerned, instead of listening to him, started taking action against him. After which the matter reached the Technical Education Department.

Dr. S. Garg said that when he sought information from the Technical Education Department about the action taken in the case in the right to information, the officer concerned ignored it. Also, another officer of the same department also did not give information in collusion.

Whenever he used to ask for information, the officials used to avoid making an excuse. After this the matter reached the State Information Commission. Where both the officials concerned did not appear to avoid the case. On this, the State Information Commission issued a notice to these officials and sought answers about not giving information.

After this, three officials of the Department of Technical Education apologized to the State Information Commission. In the case, Information Commissioner Bhupidar Kumar imposed a fine of Rs 75 thousand on the then Public Information Officer and Joint Director PK Malhotra and Joint Director Rajendra. Also, information was sent to the Additional Chief Secretary Technical Department.
