At the same time, in the midst of all this, many mischievous elements and careless media institutions publish and broadcast news without authenticity.

This misleads many students and candidates. One such news is going viral that the UGC has issued instructions to universities to write letters and pass students without exams and promote them in the next class. Which has been denied by the UGC.
In the viral news, it is being claimed that the UGC has released a new guidelines for promotion in the next class of students. According to this, the university will be able to decide the promotion of students of classes other than final year students.

According to the claim, the UGC has said that universities will be able to take the decision of conducting examinations or promoting students directly after looking at the local conditions here. In the situation so far, most of the universities have started preparing to promote everyone in the next classes without exams except the final year.

But please tell that UGC has not issued any such circular and letter nor has issued any guideline.
The UGC i.e. University Grants Commission issued a clarification notice on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, clarifying that no such circulars and letters have been issued and guidelines have not been issued by the Commission.

However, the UGC also clarified that a consultation was issued on May 06, 2021 on its behalf. Keeping in mind the current rate of corona infection, the University Grants Commission (UGC) postponed all its offline exams to be held in May.
