Due to the increasing corona infection in the state, all the schools from the first to the twelfth will be closed till April 11. At the same time, the District Magistrate will take a decision on the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor to close the colleges and universities of higher education. In a team-11 meeting held on Friday morning under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it was decided to close the schools by April 11 to protect the school children from first to eighth from infection. It is noteworthy that the decision to close the schools was made by April 4. Renuka Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Basic Education Department, issued a mandate to stop academic work in all schools from the first to the eighth till April 11. According to ACS, students will not be present in schools during this period. In schools where administrative work is being done, work will be done under Covid-19 protocol.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma said that schools from class 9th to 12th will also be closed till April 11. He said that the District Magistrate will take a decision on the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor to close the colleges and universities. Online classes will continue to be conducted at higher educational institutions which will be closed. The colleges and universities that remain open will be readable under the protocol of Covid-19.

Significantly, cases of corona virus epidemic are increasing continuously across the country. There has been a tremendous increase in infections in seven states, including Maharashtra, and governments have had to act vigorously. The rising cases of Corona have once again led to the closure of all educational institutions including schools, colleges and universities in many states. These were opened amid decreasing cases of corona. Most states and union territories started opening educational institutions in the month of February, but now have to close again. While examinations of school and board classes were canceled in many states.

On the other hand, the Delhi government has issued instructions to all schools not to invite students of any class in the new session till further orders. The Directorate of Education issued a notice on Thursday and said that studies should be conducted online for the academic session 2021-22. According to the order, only students of class 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th of the academic session 2020-21 will be able to come to school. With the approval of their parents, these students will be able to come to school for examinations, practical, project related work. Students up to 8th grade will not be called to school.
