Use satellite TV to complete the missing education of children, know why it is effective

The use of satellite TV has been suggested to complete the children who have missed their studies during the Corona epidemic. This suggestion was made by a parliamentary panel. The panel said that the education ministry and CBSE officials should use satellite TVs to bridge the gap between students’ missing studies and learning.

On Monday, a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee was held under the chairmanship of BJP MP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe. Officials of National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Ministry of Education participated in the meeting. It was told in the meeting that satellite TVs like Doordarshan DTH should be used, as its reach is more than smartphones. It doesn’t even require internet. It can also be used by the students living far away.

Panel members said that this model has been adopted by Gujarat and Odisha. Other states can also implement this. It was decided in the meeting that in the next meeting, besides the officials of the Ministry of Education, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and officials of several states would also be called to bridge the learning gap of the students. The use of satellite TV can be discussed.
