Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University sends resignation to Education Minister Nishank

Central University, Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh has resigned from the post. He has sent his resignation to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. However, the resignation has not been accepted yet.
In this episode, the University’s Dean of Student Welfare (DSW) Roshan Lal Sharma has also resigned. Dr. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri took over as the second Vice Chancellor of the Central University. First Vice Chancellor Furkan Kanwar was followed by Prof. Agnihotri was posted on April 20, 2015.

The resignation of the Vice-Chancellor and other officials is taking place at a time when the long-closed University due to Corona epidemic has reopened. Also, the students are agitating about their various demands instead of going to classes. Let us know that the Central University of Himachal Pradesh still runs in the temporary campus. Whereas it has been 11 years since it was opened. The Dhauladhar campus of the Central University is currently running in the building of B.Ed College.

The chancellor’s term is over
The tenure of Dr. Kuldeep Agnihotri, Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh Central University was officially completed in 2020 itself. But due to the plan of development of the university and the corona epidemic, the Ministry of Education had stayed his retirement. Because of which they had no power left. But now he has resigned. There are many types of discussions, ranging from resignation to the controversy between the university administration and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, about the total secretary and chaos. It is being told that he can join some other university.
