National online webinar on National Education Policy 2020 was organized at Sido Kanhu Murmu University. Presiding over the webinar, Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Sonjharia Minj said that there is a need to understand the national education policy in a broader context. In this new education policy, there has been a big change in the curriculum from school to PhD. This has been done so that the country’s economy is strong. The concept of national heritage democracy should be strong. Having a merit-based education will help youth get jobs.

As the keynote speaker at the webinar, Dr. Suresh of JNU said that this education policy insisted on spending ten percent of India’s GDP. Under the Education Policy 2020, Indian education will be in accordance with the international format, not just the national one. Emphasized to increase the scope of scholarship keeping in mind the poor and underdeveloped students.

Democracy will be permanent through education: Pratikpalati

Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Hanuman Prasad Sharma said in his address that the nature of democracy will be permanent through education. He said that the new education policy envisions the formation of a new curriculum and structure of education that will help students in different stages of learning. Changes should be made in the existing education system to make education accessible from urban to rural areas. He emphasized on education and education in the mother tongue.

Convenor of this webinar, Faculty of Humanities Dr. Vinay Kumar Sinha said that this national webinar was possible due to the efforts of Prof. Sonjaria Minz, Vice Chancellor of the University. The teachers of Santal Parganas got an opportunity to listen to the scholars of the prestigious institute of the country to provide information about the new education policy 2020. The operation was conducted by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sinha.
